A message from us…
Riverbend is first and foremost our home. A home which we love and are happy to share with visitors as a base from which to explore and enjoy the beautiful town and surrounds of Denmark.
We work hard to create, provide and maintain an environment that we can all enjoy and feel safe in. We will continue to do this for those who treat us, and our property, with respect.
Should we feel that our family or our home is not being given the respect it deserves, we will withdraw the privilege of being able to stay with us.
Check in time
Our check in commences at 2pm for both sites and chalets. Please respect this. We require the time between check out and check in to carry out cleaning, maintenance and grounds-keeping. There are several suitable places to park in town should you require a place to wait.
We do not offer long term stays in either chalets or sites. 3 weeks maximum where available.
Late arrivals
The office closes at 5:00pm. If you have a prepaid booking, please let us know by email if you are going to be arriving after this time. Then the necessary information can be sent to you.
We are unable to accommodate arrivals after 5:00pm without a booking.
Our park is private property, and we take the safety and security of our park and all our guests seriously, therefore you may not let yourself in to the site without our permission.
Check out time
Check out is by 10am.
Sites
All powered sites also have access to a water connection. We are on mains water, so it is safe to drink. Only one powered point to be used per site. Specific site information will be provided on arrival.
Unpowered sites are in an open paddock, there is no water connection. Specific site allocation and set up information will be provided on arrival.
We reserve the right to amend site locations if the need presents itself.
Dogs
Dogs are welcome on site, but they must be on leads at all times, and kept under control. If this is ignored, you may be asked to leave. We currently have one chalet (Pepper Tree) which we allow dogs in to.
Ablutions
Our ablutions are kept stocked with toilet paper and soap. While they are cleaned regularly, brushes and mops are provided so that when using the facilities, they are left in a presentable state as a courtesy for the next guest. All hot water is instant gas, any loss of hot water needs to be reported so that it can be corrected as soon as possible.
Other Facilities
There is a camp kitchen with gas hob, kettle, toaster, microwave & fridge freezer. As well as large sinks for washing up.
There is also a gazebo with BBQ and dining area.
We have a dump point which must be used following the instructions displayed at the site.
Laundry
We have a washing machine and dryer which require $1 or $2 coins to operate. Each cycle cost $4.
There is also an outdoor drying line and a covered drying area (the drying room).
Refuse
We endeavor to do our part with reducing, reusing and recycling. Please attempt to separate the recyclables from the general waste. There are also bins provided for containers for change. Bins are located at several points around the park.
Please do not dispose of large camp equipment on site.
We have chickens who are more than happy to help with any of your waste food.
Campfires
As of September 2023, we are now only able to have campfires, cooking fires and any BBQ with solid fuel used out in the park between May 1st – October 31st.
Only fire pits supplied by us may be used on the park. Firewood can be purchased from the office during the permitted season (throughout the year for wood burners inside the chalets).
Generators
We do not allow the use of generators in the park.
Wi-Fi & TV
We do not have Wi-Fi or TV reception via aerial. However, satellites & starlink can be used and the 4G/5G coverage is reliable.
Courtesy
Our noise curfew is 10pm. However, please be considerate of your fellow guests at all times as we are a small, quiet park and sound travels easily.
Unruly, noisy, disrespectful or offensive behaviour may result in your removal from the park.
Charging vehicles
Electric cars/vehicles may not be charged on the park. We do not have EV charging points, however there are 2 located around town. The additional draw on power and associated cost of charging is too significant and not part of the site fee.
The environment
We strive to keep the park as natural and welcoming as possible. We take care of the grounds, trees, flora and fauna to create a relaxing and attractive environment, which is inviting to both humans and wildlife. With the exception of the chickens, we are not responsible for the other wildlife that ventures into the park.
